Abstract
Purpose : This study aimed to analyze the difference in the cardiovascular risk factors between post-stroke elderly patients and healthy elderly patients, according to the intensity of physical activity, to determine the effect of physical activity on stroke-related cardiovascular risk factors.

Methods : This study involved 4,956 elderly participants(aged >65 years) out of 24,269 subjects who participated in the 7th National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(2016?2018). Variables that were risk factors for cardiovascular disease in the selected subjects were analyzed.

Results : Total cholesterol was significantly higher in the healthy elderly group compared with the post-stroke elderly group(P < 0.05 ), and fasting blood glucose was significantly higher in the post-stroke elderly group compared with the healthy elderly group(P < 0.05 ). H DL c holesterol w as s ignificantly h igher in t he healthy e lderly group compared w ith the p ost-stroke elderly group(P < 0 .05 ).

Conclusion: Comparison of the intensity of physical activity revealed the importance of blood sugar control through regular aerobic exercise and exercise intensity. It is suggested that this can serve as basic data for health promotion in stroke patients and the preventive management of cardiovascular disease in healthy elderly people.
